Many thousands snap up the God Phone, The Jesus Phone, or whatever people are calling it. Didn’t the Pope say don’t worship technology? Maybe God is in the ability to communicate with any other human on the planet. But you can get that from any cellphone. A short bit on the London mis-firing car bombs, we gotta rely on more then luck on these issues. And some folks are worried about Michael Bay doing the Transformers – why – Armageddon was good. Hope its got some of that libertarian flavor as well. By the way, if you have issues with product placement, you gotta check out a little known film, Josie and the Pussycats. The film had product placement overload and it was fu-nny!

YES! The much hated immigration bill goes down in defeat, giving Ted Kennedy a massive headache. Awww poor Teddy 😦 Apparently the senate switchboard were so jammed with callers that they had to shut it down. Still the bill died with a slim 14 vote margin. Need any more evidence that no one up there is listening to the voters anymore? Like they ever once they got into office. Paris Hilton is out and plays the demure Christian girl -such a good actress, cant people see through the bullshit? At least its possible an example of how change can lead to change. Kerry wants to bring back fairness, how long before your favorite internet search engine only shows “balanced” results, instead of relevant results. Al Gore is probably not running, since he’s more successful as a rock star than a politician. Wouldn’t it be cool if he supported Obama – man would that ever chap Billy Boy. And, I have an encounter with the Crepe Nazi. Stand There. $7. No Crepe For You. Tons of stuff to enjoy in todays powerful palindromic performance!

I liken the politics of today to Pro Wrestling and Reality shows – looks like its real but its all manufactured behind the scenes. The immigration bill is back – please call your representatives and get this thing killed. This is a bad bill – things could be done so much better. And the iPhone is out this week, are you camping to get one? Not me. Seems like its like any other Apple product, looks great, but its only 80% there.

I was planning on only taking a very short two day time off but the time just got away from me – and today ended up being “Go Silent” day for Save Net Radio, so since most people listen to my show off my website, I decided to suspend my on site player till 9pm tonight. So thats why you are not getting a show from me today. But I have to say something about this hellish immigration bill. S 1639

You are getting a blog post though. I’ve been reading how this damned illegal immigration bill keeps getting resurrected and getting more and more sad and angry. Today Bush himself called the bill amnesty. I don’t give a flying F if Tony Snow says he misspoke – it IS what our commander-in-chief thinks of the bill. And for me, its basically saying – this is no longer a nation of laws. Breaking the law – at least some laws, is cause for REWARD not punishment!

Folks: There are millions and millions of people among us who came here to have a better life. This country is all made up of immigrants, looking for the opportunity this country has available for all. We do have a better life here. We all have various reasons for coming here, but most of us know that this is much much better than where we came from. And yes, I’m from Canada, where a lot of Americans wish they could move cause they think its so wonderful there. Its not.

Many of us chose to honor our adopted countries laws. Many of us followed all the rules. We spent time, we filled out all the forms, we waited in the lines, we did every legal thing we could in order to move to this country. We are law abiding people. We don’t break the law, especially when it comes to our lives and families. We follow all the rules, even when its hurts us, keeps us away from our loved ones and families for years and years. You may not be aware of this, but many many legal workers here spend up to 10 years away from their families due to the backlogged processing system. We are punishing the legal, and rewarding the illegal. But instead of giving rewards to those who follow all the rules, we are giving to those who break them.

My situation is not personally that bad, even though in the end it will have taken me 10 years to gain my citizenship. My heart breaks for those families who have people here on H1 visas, whose families have not been able to be with their mommies or daddies except for short expensive visits. These people are hard working, pay all of their taxes, and keep their noses clean. In short, model citizens.

On the flipside, there are millions who broke laws to be here. Most illegal immigrants are hardworking. I would say honest, but they aren’t – they broke the law to be here. Not all illegal immigrants are hard working and give back to their adopted country. There are plenty who use the free system to its fullest, causing a huge drag on social services the rest of us have to pay for. Sure Americans use the system too, but they aren’t here illegally. Maybe you can say that the immigration laws are wrong or bad, but they ARE laws. Desperation is no excuse. We don’t excuse the desperate beggar who breaks a closed shop window to steal bread, do we??

It again, all comes back to the government. It is not easy to move here legally, but it CAN be done, and it can be done cheaply. Its not easy, but the only reason its not easy is the government. This bill gives incentives for breaking the law. And I don’t think anyone wants that. There are so many ways to do this right. This is not one of them.

So please, I implore you, call your local representatives, and Kill This Bill!

Bloomberg drops out of the GOP, thus assuring his chances go from slim to none. New York, always progressive, thinks about bribing people for good behavior, what ever happened to people being taught to be good via praise and punishment? I figure that Michael Moore could run for president, but in the end, aren’t most of those Democrats up there pretty interchangeable? I guess the GOP candidates are too. With the current cabal locking stuff down, I just can’t see how a 3rd or 4rd party can ever see any reasonable results.

What was the monarchy thinking, knighting Salman Rushdie wasn’t going to throw the radical Islamic world into a frenzy? Well, I guess its full points for courage. I review Fantastic Four 2, Ratatouille and Pirates 3. And my full point by point review of Sicko. Not only does Michael Moore think that the government is skilled enough to run our health care system, but also provide free college tuition and daycare. Nothing is free, Mr. Moore, and you never explain where the money comes from in order to pay for all this free stuff. He figures that once we are free from paying for health care, college fees, and daycare costs, then we could be so much better. Why stop there Mr. Moore? Why not free gas, free cars, free housing? Welcome to Prozac Nation, America.

I’m going to see Fantastic Four 2: Rise Of The Silver Surfer, hope its better than the first one. I don’t remember the last good superhero movie I saw, let me know what your pick is for best superhero flick. Follow me with Twitter to get my 140 character movie review of FF2 after the movie. Maybe even during – who knows? Is Russia heading to the Chinese model of capitalism without democracy? When I was a kid, Erector Sets were the toy of choice. My kids cant envision a time before video games, or even Pokemon. The evil immigration bill, like Jason in the slasher films, is back. Bush tries to placate Republicans by throwing $4B of our money at border security – that I have no issue with. Its the whole rewarding criminals aspect that kinda turns me off – and probably most other Americans and legal immigrants out there. Both parties are going to have “green” 08 conventions. I guess that means that both parties believe in the fiction that is global warming. What we need to do to “fix” podcasting – its still not easy enough for regular folks – is to figure out some way to just have the thing start playing when you start your car. And finally, why are we scaring 4th graders into thinking that the world in going to end with global warming, when it hasn’t been proven??

Hamas Vs Fatah reminds me of the Clash of Eras speech by Wafa Sultan of about a year ago – while she is spot on about the clash of eras, she discount the average Muslims ability the question and discard the more violent aspects of their faith. Change does not needs to come from the top, it can percolate through from the bottom and middle as well. My worst nightmare, and the DHSMs dream comes true – a site whose tagline reads “All Hillary, All The Time” launches at Be warned, if you don’t like Hillary, you may be sickened to your stomach. I know I was. Angelina Jolie doesn’t get the irony when she bans the press from the premiere of her film about freedom of the press. Celebrities Are Aliens – and love dictators too, don’t cha know. And I give away the greatest idea for a website of all time: Along with DONOTCALL and DONOTSPAM lists, we really should create a DONOTDATE list. It would really help the human race. Really. I explain how, on todays show, so if I were you, I’d listen…

Listen To Show #409

Looks like my prediction is coming true – people are fleeing back to the arms of no-score keeping, we are all in this together, Desperate Housewife Soccer Mom Hillary. I guess they figure that its time to close ranks on the front runner. How can Fred & Rudy be neck &  neck when he hasn’t even declared yet? What do we know about this guy? Do people think he IS the DA from Law & Order? Does this mean if he runs then they won’t be showing those episodes during the campaign? Why do people stop speaking ill of people who contract horrible illnesses or die if they are assholes? And IMHO, Facebook wins the social networking wars, as I said on my blog.

Like any good soccer mom, Hillary decides that keeping score is a bad thing. Do we really want someone like that counting out out tax dollars? Joe say Iran is the root of the problems int he Middle East – has he been listening to my show lately? Paris call Baba Wawa – apparently shes is not going to “act stupid” anymore and “be a role model” – Don’t you think you’ve been a role model already, you dummy? One of my listeners and I have agood chat about abortion and my personal stance on it, and thank you everyone, we’ve surpassed 500,000 downloads. You guys are great!
